FDS Tents, founded in 1990, is a family owned business founded in 1991 by Frank and Wallis Shepard. They have grown the business to become one of central Virginia’s leaders in tent rentals. Joined by their son, Alex, they have built their reputation on attentive customer service, timely deliveries and by consistently providing high quality, safe and elegant tenting. They earn their customers respect by demonstrating that they care about the success of their customer’s event as well as the costs involved.
Frank’s education, background and experience in civil engineering and building custom homes are unique. He inherently understands what is required to ensure the structural integrity of his tents. Of equal importance is Frank’s creativity and "eye" for design and layout.
Wallis , a native of New York, came to Virginia and continued her own business of ladies exercise studios. She later created The Linen Workshop working with fabrics and custom designed linens, ultimately lending itself in enhancing the ambience of "under the tent decor".
The Shepards' also have a private, fully equiped cottage for two on their country estate just west of town. It's perfect for a honeymoon retreat or guests.
